Johnny Griffith age 62 of Crestview passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He was born in Crestview, Florida on April 25, 1962, to Ed and Charlotte Griffith. Johnny started working with his dad at the age of 12, at Ed’s Brake and Alignment on Mainstreet. He graduated from Crestview High School in 1980. Johnny went on to follow in the footsteps of his dad in the auto mechanic field and became ASE certified in auto mechanics. Johnny began his career at Hub City Ford and later went on to work at Gary Smith Ford and Crestview Tire as a mechanic for many years. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting a game of pool, and playing guitar. He was preceded in death by his dad, Ed Griffith and two brothers: Charles Griffith and Steven Griffith. Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Griffith, his two sisters: Debbie Griffith (Jessie Danley) and Cindy Griffith (Ronnie Lunsford), His brother: Frankie Griffith. Also surviving is his nephew, Shawn Griffith, His niece, Shea Boykin (her husband Charles Boykin) and their daughters Cabela Mason and Laramie Boykin. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. The celebration of Johnny’s life will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Milligan Baptist Church Cemetery.
