Joyce R. Edwards

Joyce R. Edwards, age 92, of Holt, FL, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. She was born on February 16, 1932, in Raiford, FL, to John D. and Omage V. Raulerson. 

She is survived by her three children, Janice Davis and Jackie Tyler of Holt, FL, and Phillip Edwards (Connie) of Pace, FL: three grandchildren, Brian Davis of Holt, Holly Morris (Josh) of Longmont, CO, and Lacey Ashkar of Winter Haven, FL; three step-grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, and Joseph Carter; and seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 years, Charles P. Edwards, her parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, son-in-law, David Davis and a grandson, Robert Davis.

Joyce was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family. She was an excellent seamstress and retired from the fabric department of the Crestview Walmart.  After retirement she enjoyed spending her time with family, sewing and gardening. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Holt.

Services are planned for Thursday, August 22 at the First Baptist Church in Holt with Pastor Curt Rainey officiating. Visitation at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the New Holt Cemetery.
