Judy Ann Malousek

Judy, beloved wife, mother, and Nonna, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, at the age of 60. Her loving husband Torrey, by her side.

Judy was known for her nurturing nature, even sometimes employed tough love, believing firmly that it was a way to encourage personal growth and resilience. Her guidance was rooted in deep care and concern for the well-being of her loved ones and others.

Her generosity extended beyond her immediate family. She always welcomed her daughter Jennifer’s friends into her home with open arms, treating them as her own. Even during summers when Jennifer was away, she kept her home open, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.

Judy adored her granddaughter and shared a special bond with Holly, whom she loved dearly. Judy always made sure to create joyful memories and cherished traditions for her, whether it was watching their favorite Disney movies or sharing trips to the zoo.

Judy found joy and happiness in many ways, one of them being traveling. She was able to travel the world with her daughter, Jennifer, exploring many parts of Europe, Australia, and most of the Caribbean. Her last trip was made in honor of her dad, where she visited Ireland to get a better sense of her heritage and to be closer to him since his passing.

Judy also had a very dear fondness for animals, especially cats, and had 6 rescue kitties that were also her babies. There was never a day that went by where she wasn’t outside feeding the squirrels, or inside snuggling her cats.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. She will be dearly missed by her husband Torrey Malousek, daughter Jennifer, granddaughter Holly, her 6 cats, extended family, and friends whose lives she touched in countless ways.

Judy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as she rests in eternal peace.

There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 5-7pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. Graveside Services will begin at 10am on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Old Bethel Cemetery with Chaplain Ralph Molyneux officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to the local animal shelter S.O.C.K.S.
