1936 - 2021

Julia Castillo, age 85, of Crestview, FL passed away peacefully at her residence on June 11, 2021.  She was born in Marquez, TX to Sebastian Hernandez and Dionicia Guebara. Julia married Sotero Castillo on June 22, 1954, in Mitchell, Nebraska.  They were married for 67 years. 

Julia moved to Crestview from Mitchell, Nebraska where she was member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.  After moving to Crestview, she became a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church where she loved attending daily Mass and saying the Rosary.  She enjoyed stitching and is a Big Red Fan.  She got the most joy out of spending time with her family. 

Survivors include her husband, Sotero Castillo; sons, Anselmo Anthony (Debra), Larry (Sheri), Samuel Sotero (Cheryl), Henry Frederick (Wendy), Elliott Joseph (Susanne), Christopher, and Patrick Douglas (Martha); daughters, Dorothy Ann (Robert Shypkoski), Veronica Patricia (Robert Rios), and Monica Denise (Robert Sinclair); 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Julia was one of fourteen Siblings with 2 brothers and 2 sisters remaining: Victor, Connie, Louie, and Mary.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Crestview.  Father Roy Marion will serve as celebrant.
