Kate Cerny Obituary

Kate Victoria Cerny, age 45, passed away May 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 28, 1975 to Tom and MaryKaye Laabs-Johnson in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kate attended Park City High and graduated with the class of 1994. She also attended the University of Utah. She worked many years as a horse trainer and riding instructor. Kate loved hiking and being in nature. She loved writing, construction, remodeling, and building. She loved animals and inspiring people through her battle with cancer.

Kate is survived by her husband Jim Cerny; her parents; her sisters, Sarah Bodian and Abbasse, Emily Riccio and Frank, and Heidi Strickler and Eddie; niece and nephews, Talla, Ella, and Charlie.

A private service will be held at a later day.
