Katlyn "Katie" Hulion Obituary

Katlyn Marie Free Hulion age 30 of Crestview passed away on Saturday July 16, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1991, in Fort Walton Beach, FL to Keith and Terry Free. She grew up in Crestview playing t-ball and attending Bob Sikes Elementary. She transferred to Laurel Hill School during her middle school years. As a Laurel Hill Hobo she played basketball, softball, and volleyball. Katlyn continued her sports career at Pensacola State College playing both volleyball and softball. Known to most as “Coach Katie” she shared her love of the game as a coach at Laurel Hill School in recent years where she was an avid Hobo fan and supporter. During this time Katlyn fought many medical battles ultimately resulting in a heart transplant in 2015. Then in November 2017 Katlyn married her high school sweetheart Adam. She loved being a mom to her stepchildren Zeke and Elia. If not at a sporting event you could find her loving on her fur babies.

Katlyn is survived by her husband Adam Hulion; son Zeke; daughter Elia; father Keith Free (Teresa Epperson); grandmothers Barbara Kemp and Sylvia Fish; siblings Rodney Free, Brandi Terrell (Jay), Molly Peavy (Jason),  Jake Rerick and Kristie Williams (Ray); father and mother-in-law Mike and Kisha Hulion; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
