Kristina “Krissy” LeBlanc, age 52, passed from this earth on Jan 2, 2026 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Krissy was born in Panama City, Fla on July 3, 1973, to Chuck and Gwen LeBlanc. She grew up in a military family living in Panama City, North Carolina, Germany before settling back in Crestview/Baker area in Okaloosa County.
Krissy was blessed with a son, Edward Cartwright and daughter-in-law, Mary Counihan. Her family and friends held the highest place in her heart. She devoted herself to them fully, always offering everything within her capacity whether it be emotional support or spiritual guidance. Krissy’s generosity and unwavering commitment enriched the lives of those she cherished, reflecting the deep love she carried for the people closest to her.
Krissy was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Gwen LeBlanc, and grandparents, Cecil and Lucile Nixon. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Greg LeBlanc. She is survived by her partner, Jason Watson, her son, Edward (Mary), nephew, Nickolas (Sadi), niece, Crystal, and brother, Graymond (Amanda). Additionally, she is survived by her aunts, Rita Scott of Baker, Nancy Bass of Baker, and Diane Memory of Crestview. Also left to miss her terribly are numerous cousins, other extended families, and many friends made throughout the years. The void that is left by her passing will be with all of them always.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 5-7pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. The burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church in the church cemetery with her parents and brother.
