Lana Belle Faulk
Lana B. Faulk age 70 of Crestview passed away at her home on February 21, 2023. She was born in Crestview on March 31, 1952 to Lowell and Rosa Belle Faulk. Lana grew up in Crestview and has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Crestview High School in 1970 and worked at the old Crestview hospital as a nurses aide. After several years at the hospital Lana went to work as a corrections officer with the Okaloosa County jail. The last job she held before retiring was with KELTEC. She was an avid reader and had a collection of Christian books that would rival many libraries. Lana loved to get out and ride around town, especially to Publix, but most of all she loved her family. Lana would visit with them and want to know what all was going on in their lives and what their interests were. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in law Luther A. Ates.
Lana is survived by her sister Pat Ates; nephews and nieces Scottie Allen Ates and wife Amanda, and Terri Jo Mathews and husband Larry; great nieces and nephews: Megan Nicole Henderson and husband Caleb, Joel Allen Mathews and wife Michaela, Anna Lian Mathews, Haley Ann Hudson and husband Daniel, Luther Allen Ates II and wife Caroline, 2nd LT Calan William Ates; great great nieces and nephews: Clayton Daniel Henderson, Coy Mathew Henderson, Beau Allen Mathews, Brooks Michael Mathews, and Mary Ellis Hudson; also surviving are her 3 aunts and uncles: Lela Grace Lobingeir, Dewey E. Madden and wife Wilma, and Jerry Madden and wife Sue.
A graveside service for Lana will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Lana’s memory to your favorite Christian charity or your church.
