Linda Campbell, age 69 of Crestview passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018, at her home in Crestview. She was born in Dayton, OH on October 8, 1948, to Ray and Ressie Rudolph. Linda was a member of First United Methodist Church in Crestview and very active in the church. Linda started her education at Sierra College in Roseville, CA and finished her bachelor’s degree at the University of West Florida and then did her graduate studies at University of West Florida. Linda started her teaching career at Lewis Jr. High in Valparaiso, FL and retired as the Department Head of the English Department at Clear Creek High School in League City, TX. After returning to Florida she continued to teach at Davidson Middle School in Crestview for serval years. She was a family person through and through, very giving of her time and helping others by putting their needs before hers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Campbell, grandson Christopher Mayes and son in law Rodney Curlee
Linda is survived by her life partner Burt Colt, children Amy Curlee, Angela Hill and husband Wayne, and Stuart Campbell and wife Suzan. A brother Al Rudolph survives along with her precious grandchildren: Tiffani, Randy, Don, Travis, Tarah, and Lindsay and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Linda will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Crestview.
