Linda Fagan Obituary

On January 1, 2024, Linda Fagan passed peacefully from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She will be remembered as a hard-working, loving, and committed wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Linda was born Linda Charlene Brown on October 6, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio.   Her family later moved to Springfield, Ohio where she graduated from Springfield South High School.  She met the love of her life, Robert Michael Fagan during high school and the two were married in June of 1959.  Mike and Linda had an only child, Rob.  While Mike ran the two gas stations they owned, Linda raised Rob and managed the household.  They later sold the stations and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where they lived for 26 years of their life.  Their son Rob married and moved to the Florida panhandle where Mike and Linda soon followed them to be close to their new grandson.

Linda’s pleasure was taking care of her grandson, Alex, while her son and daughter-in-law worked. Her grandson, Alex, was a bright light in Linda’s life and she supported all his actives, to include little league soccer, flag football, karate, jiujitsu and golf tournaments.  In addition to enjoying her grandson, she enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends.  Her passion was sewing and cooking big meals that brought enjoyment to her loved ones.  She loved seeing and hearing the smiles and laughter around her large dining table that Mike built her.  Playing games after a big meal was her favorite.  Linda would play all night.  It was the younger generations that would give out first.

Linda’s second family was her work family.  She loved working for two well known physicians in the area.  Dr. John Kozuta and Dr. David Herf.  Both physicians’ practices treated her like family.  She would often come home from the office telling stories about her day.  She was always laughing when revealing what had happened at the office.  Employment with these practices was an important part of Linda’s life.

Linda is survived by her husband, Robert Michael Fagan (Mike), her son Robert Michael Fagan Jr. (Rob) and his wife Paige Fagan, her grandson Alexander Fagan, her brother Jan Brown and his wife Joy Brown, her brother-in-law Terry Barnes, her niece Brooke Lemon, and her nephews, Stephen Barnes, AJ Barnes, and Christopher Brown. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Barnes.
