Lucille K Warthen

Lucille K. Warthen, age 102, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Thursday July 29, 2021, at Crestview Rehab Center. She was born in Andalusia, Alabama on July 10, 1919, to Osey and Ruhama Kersey. Lucille has lived in Crestview for the past 60 years. She was a housewife and took care of many children in her daycare. Lucille loved flowers and gardening and love to needle point. She loved to bake and cook, but most of all she loved her family and the children she took care of. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Bill Warthen and 2 grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by her son Jimmy Warthen, daughter Charlene Taylor, 3 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A time of visitation with the family will be held on Monday August 2, 2021, at 1:00 at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Chapel. The Celebration of Lucille’s life will begin at 2;00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery.
