Mae Francis Wilkins

Mae Francis Wilkins of Crestview Fl. passed peacefully in her home on July 4th. She had been in the caring hands of Emerald Coast Hospice for the last year.

Mae was loving wife and best friend to her husband Charlie for the last 57 years. She will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren who made her heart whole.

She was a dedicated wife and loving mother. Predeceased by her son Roger Fugere formerly of Vernon Fl, mother Edna O’Brien, and father and mother in law, Floyd and Dorothy Wilkins.

She enjoyed shopping and traveling, especially cruises. She was a loyal volunteer for Covenant Hospice for 8+ years and never met a stranger. Her family was her whole world. Being with them and sharing their lives and accomplishments meant so much to her. She enjoyed going to school plays, sporting events and Biloxi to play slots. She was always up for an adventure.

Mae was survived by her daughters Tracey A. Dionne and her husband Thomas G. Dionne, Sharen M. Settles of Crestview, and daughter in law Tracy Fugere of Vernon. Grandchildren Charles Fugere, Jessica Fowler, Christie Austin, Shawna Mikell, Codi Johnson, and Joshua Settles. Loved by 14 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. The graveside service and burial will follow at Heritage Gardens in Niceville, Florida.
