Manuel “Andy” Andujar
Andy Andujar age 96 of Crestview passed away at his home in Crestview on May 16, 2023. He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on January 1, 1927, to Gonsalvo Vega and Carman Andujar. Andy moved to Crestview in 1948. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years and was a Korean War Veteran. After retiring from the Air Force Andy went to work for Keltec and worked as a Quality Inspector. Andy was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the Auburn VFD. Andy was an avid chess player and photographer, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, son Gary Andujar; his granddaughters Jenny Porter and Rhonda Andujar; a great granddaughter Kaelyn Busse and his brother Mario Andujar.
Andy is survived by his wife of 74 years Bobbie Andujar; children: Jimmie Andujar of Pace, FL, Ricky Andujar of Bluewater Bay, FL and daughter Merinda Pigg of San Antonio, TX; 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren also survive.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Friday May 19, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home and Crematory. The celebration of Andy’s life will take place on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Airport Road Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
