Maritza “Mama” Kittler

Mama Kittler age 71 of Crestview passed away on Thursday August 4, 2022, in Kissimmee, FL. She was born in Colon, Panama on May 22, 1951, to Manuel Felipe Chavez and Justa Chavez. Mama moved to Crestview 9 years ago from Fayetteville, NC. She attended Lifepoint Church in Crestview. Mama loved to shop and loved to watch her soap operas. She also loved taking care of her plants, but most of all she loved her family. Mama was preceded in death by her mother Justa Cherigo, brother William Cherigo and her daughter Teresa Ross.

Mama is survived by her children: Karina Covington and her husband James; Jessica Vargas and her husband Gil; Abdiel Kittler and his wife Ashlynne; a son-in-law Robert Ross; brother Gabriel Chavez; Sisters: Teresa Etzler, Eulalia Chavez, Edilma Chavez, and Sonia Chavez; grandchildren: Vivian Perez, Miguel Vargas and wife Morgan, Mariama Covington, Alexcia Jones and husband Antonio, Samantha Dockstader, Alejandro Vargas, Jaime Covington, Robert “RJ” Ross, Jeremy Covington, Ayden Kittler; great grandchildren: Nova Daigle and Holden Jones.

A private family service will take place on Friday August 12, 2022, and burial will be in the Beal Memorial Cemetery.
