Martin Dee Moore


          Martin Moore age 88 of Crestview passed away on Friday January 27, 2023 at his home. He was born in Wilson, AR on June 16, 1934 to Martin and Grace Moore and was the youngest of 10 children. Martin taught school for 50 plus years at the Brooklyn Friends in Brooklyn, New York. Latin was the class that he taught and loved helping children learn the language. Martin loved traveling the world and teaching his students about his travels. He loved reading, music, and loved the opera. He was a very cultured man with his travels and education. Martin moved to Crestview in August of that year to be near his family.


          Martin was preceded in death by his parents and his 9 siblings’; Clarence and Henry Moore; Stella Ellis, Thelma Smiddy, Maxine Rambo, Pauline Rowe, Edith Reckord, Bernice McLean, and Kathryn White.


          Martin is survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews.


          A private family service will take place at a later date in New York.
