Mary P Bonta

Mary P. Bonta age 91 of Crestview passed away on April 17, 2020 at North Okaloosa Medical Center.  She was born on February 9, 1929 in Goshen, AL to Charlie and Eunice Prescott.  Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Crestview for many years.  Mary went to Baker School and played basketball while in high school, she graduated from Crestview High School in 1947. Mary loved to play scrabble and travel, but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Richard Bonta.

          Survivors include her sons: Chuck Bonta and wife Lynette, Bill Bonta, Joey Bonta and wife Patti; her daughters: Barbara Kelly and husband George and Bonita Summers and husband Chuck; sisters: Etoyle Mannush and Yvonne Steele; the apple of her eye her grandchildren: Josh Kelly, Debra Kelly, Ginji Edge, Blair Callaway, and Brody Bonta; great grandchildren: Christopher Hull, Carson Kelly, Alex Jordan, Reise Edge, Darby Edge, Tess Tolliver, Taitum Tolliver, Tayrn Tolliver, Braelyn Kelly and Brinley Bonta; and her great great grandchildren: Eli Wills and Beau Jordan.

          A private family service will take place.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Crestview Building Fund or Florida Baptist Children’s Home.
