Mary Williams age 32 of Laurel Hill passed away on October 20, 2020. She was born on August 1, 1988 in Fort Walton Beach, FL to Larry and Vivian Smith. Mary grew up in Laurel Hill and attended Laurel Hill High School from PreK through graduation. She was the Homecoming Queen in 2006. Mary accepted Jesus at an early age and was baptized at South Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a member. Mary loved sports in her younger years. She loved music and playing the guitar with her brother and husband. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it be around a fire at night or time at the beach. She especially loved being on the water with her husband and son. Mary worked at North Okaloosa Medical Center as an ER nurse. She started working as an ER Unit Coordinator Secretary and went to school at night to ger her RN degree. She love being a nurse and helping people in need. Mary loved making her house a home and loved being a momma to Tate, and her 2 fur babies, Traxx and Cash. She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Smith, grandparents: Harvell and Joan Smith, Mary Simmons, Tom Williams and Betty Wooley. Mary is survived by her husband Zach Williams and her son Tate Williams. Parents Larry and Vivian Smith; Grandfather Wayne Simmons; Brother Adam Smith and his wife Lisa; Mothers & Fathers in law: Randy and Teresa Williams and Diane Zaring and James Cox; Sisters in law: Ashley Williams, Kayligh Henderson, and Emligh Henderson and brother in law Gage Jernighan, and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and many many friends. A time of visitation with the family will be held on Monday October 26, 2020 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Mary’s life will be on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at The Barn at Water Oaks, 4080 2nd Ave, Laurel Hill, FL, 32567.
