Matt Holt

Matt Holt age 47 of Crestview passed away on Friday October 21, 2022, at his home. He was born in Milton, FL on November 5, 1974, to Ann and Gary Holt. Matt grew up in Crestview and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved to play sports and loved to throw that baseball. Matt graduated from Crestview High School in 1993 and was a member of Calvary United Church. Matt worked many years in the construction business and could build anything he put his mind to. Matt loved his kids and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edlow and Jewel Brannon, Marvin Holt, his aunts Linda Cooper and Louise Barrow.

            Matt is survived by his sons: Dustin Holt and Chasen Holt; the mother of his children Renee Day; his parents Gary and Ann Holt; his grandchildren: Aniston, Aaron, and Kase Holt; brother Tim Holt and Andrea Holt; his sister Rebecca Hicks and her husband Jessie; his grandmother Granny Holt; niece and nephews: Chance Holt, Maci Holt, Jaidyn Hicks and Noah Hicks along with many many friends.

            The celebration of Matt’s life will be held on Thursday October 27, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 p.m.
