Obituary

Mavis C. Garrett, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2021. Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, John David and Lou Carver; husband, Gerald A. Garrett; and a son, Harold L. Garrett. Survivors include her children, Gerald E. Garrett (Sis), Jane E. Webb (Roger), and Mary Ruth Garrett; grandchildren, Jeffrey Garrett (Yvette), Chris Garrett (Peggy), Amanda Copley, Daniel Webb (Charlee), April Michele Lauzon (Matt), Alisa Garrett, Martha Lawder (Andrew), and Ashley Garrett; sister, Dosia Gilmore; eight grandchildren; and her faithful dogs, Mozart and Beethoven.

A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. The service will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday at the church with interment to follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
