Maxine Kelley, age 75, of Baker, FL passed away on January 20, 2020 at her home. She was born in Tampa, FL on December 9, 1944 to Ruby and John DeVane. Maxine was a resident of the Escambia Farms and North Baker area. She loved woodworking, crafts, and stained glass. She collected jewelry and numerous other items from QVC. Her favorite past time was shopping. She worked as a cashier at the Casino during her life.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne DeVane; and her nephew, Bud Merrell.
Survivors include husband of 57 years, Quinton Kelley of Baker, FL; her son, Bryan Kelley of Baker, FL; her daughter, Amber Leavitt (Darrel) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Chelsea Waldrop (Dave), Preston Leavitt (Ciera), Cheyene Leavitt, Tori Leavitt, and Rebecca Kelley; her great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Kase, Rhen, and Crew; and numerous other special family members.
A funeral service will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11:00 am at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Reverend Doctor Donnie Cadenhead officiating. A time of visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am just prior to the service. Burial will follow at Cotton Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
