Merallyn McDonald Obituary
Merallyn Ann Dull McDonald, 93, of Crestview, FL passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Merallyn was born August 8, 1931 in Trochu, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Fredrick and Anna Dull (McRae), and was raised in Port Townsend, WA.
Merallyn married Harry Ryan McDonald, Jr. on July 13, 1950 at Fort Warden, WA. Merallyn and Harry were married for 57 years until Harry’s death on March 31, 2008. Merallyn and Harry had three children: Terri Llyn McDonald Marzuki, Michael Ryan McDonald and Tracy Ann McDonald.
Merallyn dedicated her life to the service of others through various organizations including Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA, Church, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was also the devoted caretaker of her beloved husband, Harry, from the time he returned from Viet Nam until his death.
Remaining to cherish Merallyn’s memory are her children, Terri Llyn McDonald Marzuki, Michael Ryan McDonald and Tracy Ann McDonald; grandchildren, Michael John Marzuki, Joseph Allen McDonald, Anna Lauren Casillas (Christopher Hill), Sarah Llyn Casillas, Molly Elizabeth McDonald Best (Jason Best), Eric Michael Marzuki; great grandchildren, Liam McDonald, Caleb McDonald, Christopher McDonald, Aubry Vera Marzuki and Ryan Edward Marzuki.
Preceding Merallyn in death are her grandchildren, Jennifer Erin Day and Michael Ryan McDonald, Jr.
Visitation will be held 2/12/2025 at 1PM at New Bethel Methodist Church, 5986 Hwy 85, Crestview, FL. Funeral services will be at 2 PM following visitation. Immediately after the service a meal will be served by the parishioners of New Bethel Methodist. Following the meal, we will proceed to Live Oak Cemetery, 112 North Ave East, Crestview, FL 32536 for the interment.
