Michelle Kinniard Obituary

Michelle Lynn Kinniard, lovingly known as “Shelly,” passed away on May 30th, 2026, in Crestview, Florida. She was born on July 3rd, 1969, in Towson, Maryland, to John Kinniard and the late Joyce Phyllis Lucas Kinniard. A 1987 graduate of Dulaney High School, Shelly built a career as an administrative assistant. In 2020, she relocated from Delaware to Florida, to begin a new chapter in life close to her family. Shelly had a deep love for animals, enjoyed music, and expressed her creativity in many ways. She is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Phyllis Lucas Kinniard, and her nephew, Damon Kenneth Hopkins. Shelly is survived by her father, John Kinniard; her sister, Jean Mae Kinniard Hopkins; her niece, Bridgette Leigh Hopkins; her nephew, Jonathan James Hopkins; her great-nephew, Jayden Alexander Hopkins; and her great-nieces, Charlotte Ray Reed and Adleigh Grace Reed. Her family will remember her with grace and she will be kept in their thoughts and prayers, focusing on the moments that brought them together and keeping the best parts of her alive in their hearts. In honor of Shelly’s life, the family invites friends and loved ones to make a donation to a charity of their choice, if so inclined.
