Nathan Lloyd Goodwin, age 52, of Crestview, FL, was born on March 20, 1973, in Milton, FL and passed away on January 2, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Goodwin.
Nathan is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Goodwin; his children: Ashley (Matt) Long, Amanda (Trent) Goforth, and Jason Gourm. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kaia and Ivey Long, and Tyson and Fallon Goforth.
He is also survived by his mother, Juanita Goodwin; his sister, Shelley (Chris) Burgess; his nephew, Chance (Lora) White; his nieces, Alyssa Burgess, and Marissa Young; along with several great-nephews and a great-niece.
Nathan proudly served in the National Guard for a few years and later worked as a correctional officer. For over 30 years, he was a highly skilled and dedicated carpenter. Known as a true perfectionist, Nathan had the rare ability to build just about anything and took great pride in his work.
Above all else, Nathan was known for his unwavering faith and deep love for Jesus Christ. No matter the obstacles he faced in life, his faith never wavered and remained the foundation of who he was. His strength, dedication, and faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Nathan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 18th at Warriors Hall, 201 Stillwell Blvd, Crestview, FL 32539. Visitation with family will start at 1:00pm and the service will start at 1:30pm.
