On July 17, 2021, Oran Philip “Phil” Killingsworth passed away peacefully surrounded by family and wonderful memories. A member of Airport Road Church of Christ in Crestview, Florida, Phil was a Christian, devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. For 35 years, Phil worked for Borden’s Dairy as a manager before retiring in 1990. He subsequently worked for Cooper Mill products before retiring a second time in 2000.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Martha Lona Killingsworth; brother, James T. Killingsworth and grandson Stephen Killingsworth.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years, Rachel M. Killingsworth; daughter Vicki M. Hupp (husband Jack); son James “Jim” Philip Killingsworth (wife Sherry); and daughter Janet D. Williamson (husband Jack). Bringing joy and laughter to his life were his grandchildren Lydia M. Gordon (husband Len); Jacob Williamson (wife Jessi); Ariel Land (husband Matt); Trenton James Killingsworth; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Paisley Jean, Zoraida, Jocelyn, Naomi, Elijah and a sixth great grandchild-a baby boy- on the way.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 21 July at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview, Florida. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Phil will be interred at 3:30 pm in Sunset Memorial Gardens, HWY 52, Samson, Alabama.
