Patricia Howes

Patricia Jayne Howes passed away on August 5, 2024 in Crestview, Florida. She was born on June 26, 1948 in Long Island, New York to Clifford and Helen Howes. She graduated from UWF with a BA and MA in Education. Patricia taught 5th grade at Bob Sikes Elementary for 35 years and she also tutored and taught guitar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Howes and Dr. Clifford Howes; bonus sister, Salley; bonus brother, Winston Howes; niece, Robin Gilliard and partner of 29 years, Pat (Hopka).

Patricia is survived by her sister, Sharon Gilliard and Ronnie; nephew, Greg Gilliard and Jeannie; her partner Sandy O’Steen and many family and friends who loved her dearly.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 1:00-2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the service starting at 2:00pm.
