Polly Pigott

Pauline S. Pigott entered into the gates of Heaven on March 10, 2022, at the age of 93.

She was born on January 16, 1929 in Crestview, Florida where she spent most all of her life. At age 11 she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Crestview, where she proudly served, singing in the choir, chairing the bereavement committee and for over 40 years working in the Church’s Nursery, loving and caring for each and every child as one of her own.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of almost 53 years, Virgil Pigott; her parents, John and Beatrice Stanford; three brothers, James, Ralph and Wilbur Stanford; five sisters, Odessa Garrison, Catherine Scrivener, Theda Slaughter, Fina Mansfield and Eleanor McCracking; and granddaughter, Alison Lewis.

Polly is survived by her son Bruce and wife Charlene, son Drew and daughter Paula. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother in law, Paul Pigott and wife Delores and sister in law Winnie Council, as well as numerous nieces an nephews. Polly truly loved all of her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.

Funeral services for Polly will be conducted on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00pm from the First Baptist Church of Crestview, with burial following at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 1:00pm prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Florida Children’s Home, P.O. Box 8190 Lakeland, Florida 33802-8190 in Polly’s memory. Her love of children never wavered.
