On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Raymond Harton finally returned “Home”. Raymond was born July 27, 1932 in Dover, NH to Irma and Adrian Harton. He graduated high school from Dover High and then started his military career. He was in the National Guard from 1951-1964. In 1964, he went active duty Army until he was medically discharged in 1977. Through his career, Raymond served in Korea and the Vietnam War. In life, he was a devout baseball and hockey fan. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially his “Red Legs kids”. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Rena, 3 daughters, Diane Willis and husband John, Denise Lake and husband Les, and, Annette Rayburn and husband Ron, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 1:00-2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm. Reception to follow at the Amvets post at 105 John King Road.
