Roselle Barnhill

Roselle Barnhill, age 100, passed away on August 24, 2020. She was born on January 30, 1920 to Louise and John Cobb in Baker, Florida. She was a lifetime resident of Okaloosa County. Roselle was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Crestview. She worked as an Accountant for NASA in Cape Kennedy for many years. She also worked in accounting at Eglin Air Force Base. Roselle and her husband, Eubanks, were founders and members of the Baker Alumni Scholarship fund. She was an avid golfer and a wonderful mother. Her son could do no wrong in her eyes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eubanks Barnhill; and her son, Stephen Wayne Barnhill.

She is survived by her son, Bill Barnhill of Baker, Fl; grandchildren, Rosalyn Barnhill of Anchorage, Alaska, Renee Barnhill Mengel of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Lana Barnhill Parker of Niceville, Fl, and Laura M. Barnhill of Niceville, FL’ great grandchildren, Kaila Parker and Kaleb Parker of Niceville, FL.

A time of visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 4:00p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Burial will follow at Griffith Cemetery. Reverend Mark Broadhead officiating. 

The family asks that if you come to the services that you practice social distancing in family groups and that you wear a masks or face covering while at the service.
