Rosellen Marion Lake

Rosellen Marion Schroeder Lake’s life did not end with her death.  Her love of family and friends will go on.  She is a retired elementary teacher with 18 years of teaching our youth at Bob Sikes Elementary in Okaloosa County, Florida.  She held a Masters in Education and a love of teaching.  She passed away June 4, 2024 at the grand old age of 96 years.

Rosellen is preceded in death by two of her four sons, Leon Edgar Lake, and Laurence Edwards Lake.  She is survived by her sons, Leldon Eugene Lake, Jr. (Gene) and wife Charlotte, and Leslie Edsel Eugene Lake (Les) and wife Denise; and her daughter Sara Lisa Uyehara and husband Mark, as well as many, many grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.

Rosellen’s life was filled with loving family and wonderful friends.

A time of visitation  will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Liveoak park Memorial Cemetery.
