Roy Harrell Johnson

Roy H. Johnson, age 91, of Baker passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his home in Alabama.

He worked for 30 years with the Florida Highway Patrol as a radio dispatcher while farming in his off time.  After retiring he worked for PIC and later for Tom Thumb.  He was a gifted woodworker and had also acquired his private pilot license, owning and flying his own plane.

Roy is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorine Wilkinson Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Lois & Earl Johnson; grandsons Jason Lee & Nathan Lee; and great granddaughter, Haven Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel & Lucinda Johnson; brothers, Robert Johnson & Roger Johnson; and sister Rosa Atkins.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Crestview, with Bros. Jim Vail & Garry Winstead officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until service time on Wednesday.  Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery in Baker.  Pallbearers are Bill Johnson, Russell Boyette, Dewayne King, Jimmy Lee, Dale Boyette & John King.
