Ruth Heaton

Irma Ruth Heaton, age 86, passed away July 11, 2025, at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B.  Heaton. Ruth is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Gail Heaton, and loving daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and John Givens; Grandsons that she adored, Matthew and Daemond; and Great Granddaughter, Eva Rose; along with extended family and friends. 

Ruth will be remembered as an honest, giving, and caring lady. She was always doing something for her family. She was a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.  Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

A visitation will be held at Whitehurst-Powell on Saturday, July 19, at 9 am with Pastor Bob officiating at 10 am. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, where Ms Ruth will be laid to rest beside her husband.
