Sadako “Cookie” Furrow age 94 passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on December 26, 2021. She was born in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan on April 18, 1927, to Teisuke and Mume Sugahara. Cookie loved cooking, checking out yard sales, tending to her garden, and decorating her home. She especially enjoyed her Japanese TV shows (NHK). She dearly loved and spoiled her great grandchildren. Sadako was lovingly referred to as “Bachan” by her family.
Sadako is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard “R.D.” Furrow; daughters: Carolyn Cartagena and Donna Furrow; granddaughters: Amy Partlow, Christy Soileau and husband, Jason Soileau, and Amanda Roithmeier; great grandchildren: Ian Soileau, Lily Soileau, and Samuel Simmons.
