Sallie Mable Kennedy Stapleton, age 94, of Crestview, Fl. passed away October 25, 2020 in St. Anthony, Idaho.
She was born June 18, 1926 in Baker, Fl. and moved to Crestview in 1944.
After attending Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee, she taught school at the Escambia Farm School. She worked at the City Curb Market before working at WJSB/WAAZ radio station until retiring in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, S. Elroy Stapleton in 2005.
Survivors include sons, Robert B. (R.B.) and Lisa Stapleton of Las Vegas, Nevada, William (Bill) and Lynette Stapleton of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Keith and Jackie Stapleton of Kennesaw, Georgia, 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a sister, Gertrude Gray.
Sallie was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her funeral service will be held at the church building at 3 Del Cerro Camino, Crestview, October 31st at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 at the church.
