Sotero Castillo, age 93, of Crestview, Florida passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Mercedes, Texas to Elodio and Manuela Castillo. Sotero married Julia Castillo June 22, 1954 in Mitchell, Nebraska and           

they were married for 67 years and belonged to St. Theresa Catholic Church. Sotero moved from Mitchell, Nebraska to Crestview, Florida. In Crestview he was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, where he attended Daily mass and Rosary. He enjoyed crafting, Nebraska football and Tom Brady. His most joy was spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elodio and Manuela; his wife, Julia; sons, Anselmo and Samuel.

Sotero is survived by Debra Castillo, Larry and Sheri, Cheryl Castillo, Henry and Wendy, Elliott and Sue, Christopher, Robert and Dorothy Shypkoski, Robert and Veronica Rios, Patrick and Martha Castillo, Robert and Monica Sinclair; also, 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.

Sotero was 1 of 6 siblings, sisters, Isabel, Cruz, Florentio, Rumaldo, Elodia all deceased.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
