Teddy Ray Porterfirld, 66, past away Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 of natural causes.
Teddy was born April 15th, 1957 on Lubbock, TX to Harmon and Vonice Porterfield. He graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School and joined the military. He was staff Sargent and warehouse manager for 13 years, went to Saudi Arabia during the gulf War then retired.
Teddy then met his second wife and best friend, Brenda. They got married and moved to Indiana where she was from. He loved living in Indianapolis. They enjoyed going to the Indianapolis motor speedway and the zoo and snow. After a few years they moved back to Florida.
Ted is proceeded in death by his wife, both parents, 3 sisters, and 2 of his dogs.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Ganey (Jesse Ganey) step daughter Becky, two step sons Jason and James Wade, 3 granddaughters Lexi, Katelynn, and Magy Maloy, niece Virginia Hagan (Chris), 5 nephews, Ricky(Sherri) Danny, Jason(Brandi), Ryan, and Dusty Seymour, several great nieces and nephews including Austin and Kylee Seymour.
Ted loved riding his Harley and going to the turkey shoot every Saturday morning hanging with friends and shooting his guns, and going to the shooting range. He and Brenda would get on the Harley and just ride with no destination in mind. As long as they were together, they were happy. They had that once in a life time, true unconditional kind of love. Ted was a kind heart, loving, giving man that enjoyed going to the river and never met a stranger.
Ted will be laid to rest in Indianapolis with his wife. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
