Thomas Ethan Dunkle

Thomas Ethan Dunkle, age 35, of Lynn Haven, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021.  He was born in Cocoa Beach, FL on June 10, 1986, to Scott and Charlotte Dunkle.  He graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Paralegal Studies and from Loyola Law School with a Juris Doctor.  He passed the Florida Bar exam and was admitted to the Florida Bar in October 2014.

Thomas spent many summers at Camp Victory in Samson, Alabama.  As a camper, then a counselor in training and then as a counselor, Thomas found his true passion for working with and for young children.  It was also there that he developed his sense of humor while impacting the lives of many campers. 

As a leader of a team of case managers working in children services, Thomas continued to assist children and families manage life’s challenges. Thomas was recognized as a leader who fought for his team, his friends, his family and the children placed in his team’s care.

Thomas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ann Ward and Charles Shellnut and his paternal grandparents Theodore and Fusako Dunkle.  He is survived by his parents, Scott and Charlotte, his brother Timothy and sister Tara and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

A time of visitation will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3252 US 90 East, Crestview Florida on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 followed by services at 11:00.  Graveside services will be held at Old Bethel Cemetery on Old Bethel Road.

He will be missed by many.
