Thomas Tharon Wilson, age 82, of Crestview passed away July 17, 2020. Tharon, the oldest of six children was born on February 3rd, 1938 to Hugh Clayton and Nellie Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Katy Wilson. He is also survived by three brothers: Devone & his wife Barbara, Frank & his wife Lorna, Wayne & his wife Angie and by one sister, Patricia Morgan. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Crestview High School, class of 1956. After high school he served his country from 1956 to 1978 in the United States Air Force. While serving he did two assignments in Vietnam but most of his overseas military life was in Japan, where he met and married Haruko Takahashi, which we affectionately call “Katy.” After retiring from the Air Force with 22 years of service, he returned to Crestview to be near his aging parents. He worked at the Louisiana-Pacific Lumber company outside of Crestview from 1980 to 1994, until the company closed. He was responsible for weighing the trucks and security of the plant. He was awfully close to his family and was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. He will be missed by all his family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview.
