Thomas "Tom" Hood

Tom Hood age 64 of Laurel Hill passed away on Thursday July 30, 2020 at his home. He was born in Hot Springs, AR on April 20, 1956 to Thomas G. and Ruth Hood. Tom served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years. While in the military he was in Desert Storm, Desert Shield, and the Iraqi War. Tom loved working in his yard and mowing the grass. He loved going out to eat with family and friends.  Tom loved going to the movies with his family and was a fantastic artist and poet. He loved old cars, the classic cars, but most of all he loved his family. Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Hood and Ruth Banks and his stepfather Charles Banks.

            Survivors include his wife of 46 years Mary Hood; his children: Thomas G. “Tom” Hood and wife Jenna, Charles Hood, Miranda Hood and Faith Hood; one grandson also survives Oliver Hood, along with many friends.

            A private family service will take place and Tom will be placed at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
