Tommy Holland age 73 of Crestview went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 18, 2020. He was born in Defuniak Springs on October 1, 1946 to Pugh and Johnnie Belle Holland, owners Holland Truck and Tractor in Crestview. In 1952 Tommy moved to Crestview with his family. He graduated from Crestview High School in 1964 and went on to Pensacola Junior College and graduated from Auburn University in 1969, that same year he married the love of his life Frances Cook. Tommy continued his education at Stetson University where his received his Juris Doctorate degree in Law. Tommy practiced law in Crestview for 40 years before retiring. He was an avid Auburn fan and was an accomplished outdoorsman. His passion was being in the outdoors and hunting. Tommy had many many friends and he never met a stranger. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, son Thomas Brian Holland, daughter Ashli Holland and brother-in-law Mike Powl.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Frances Holland; daughters Katie Taylor and husband Rick and Jennifer Wayer and husband Jerry; sister Kitty Powl; 6 grandchildren who dearly loved him and was known as Papa: Elizabeth, Sydney, Sarah, Emily, Caleb, and Kaylee.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Thursday February 20, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. The celebration of Tommy’s life will be on Friday February 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Crestview. A private burial will be held at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
