Hallie "Katie" Lovelace

Hallie Kay “Katie” Lovelace, age 44, of Crestview, passed away Monday morning, June 15, 2015.  She was born in Beckley, West Virginia on March 20, 1971.

Katie was a 1989 graduate of Shady Springs High School in Shady Springs, WV.  In 1990, Katie married her high school sweetheart, Jim Lovelace, and travelled the world as an Air Force spouse.  She and Jim were blessed with three wonderful children.  Katie lived a joyful life, and she loved spending time with her family and any day at the beach.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Parris, of Princeton, WV, and grandparents, James and Hallie Kessinger, of Beckley.

Katie is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Lovelace, of Crestview; son, James “Derek” Lovelace, at home;  daughters, Lynsi Kay Lovelace, of Crestview, and Kaysi Lyn Lovelace, at home; her mother, Nancy Gragg, of White Oak, WV; brother, Donald Gragg, of Shady Springs, WV; and sisters, Tammy Romage, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Dawn Gragg, of Richmond, VA.

Family and friends will gather in remembrance of Katie from 1 to 2 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
