I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one, Katie, this past June. There are not many words to express the extend of pain you are experiencing now. That's why I want to share a comforting scripture with your family. The scripture is found at Isaiah 41:10, 13. It shows the depth of God's love for us by saying, he will take us by the right hand saying, do not be afraid for I am with you. What beautiful words from our Heavenly Father, Jehovah God. Hopefully, these words bring you a measure of comfort during the difficult days ahead.

The Beach In The Sky
I closed my eyes.
Felt the warmth of the sun on my face.
All the grief and pain
Was simply too hard to erase.
I could smell the ocean in the air.
I opened my eyes only to see you far off in the distance.
I knew it was you there.
I called out your name
As I ran to you.
My prayers had been answered.
It was all too good to be true.
Beautiful as always
You smiled and held me so near.
This moment was happening
It was all perfectly clear.
You laughed and said
"I'm happy you're here. Welcome to my beach in the sky,
But you can't stay forever."
As a big sister always knows why.
"You see there is a little place at my beach in the sky.
It's called Heaven and that's where I live.
I am happy and content
And have no one else to forgive."
"I dance in the sun and play in the waves.
I collect seashells as I watch the sunrise and set
All of my days".
"I know no more hate, sorrow or grief.
I only know love and peace.
And I stand firmly with my God on that belief."

Katie was the best friends I had in school. Just seeing her smile brightened every day. Just last month we spoke briefly about a photo I have of her and Jim with me at ninth grade prom. She wanted me to post it, and I will if it is still ok. If I can do anything from here please let me know. As for now I will say a prayer for you. But know she is an angel in heaven as she was on earth. Love and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I never knew Katie as an adult but my family lived across the street from the Kessings when we were in grade school so we spent many happy times with Tammy and Katie. So many birthday parties, sled riding, roller skating, swimming, Brownies (scouts)...it was a great place to be a kid. I'll always remember her sense of fun and her mischievous ways.

Katie, Jim, Lynsi, Derrick, and Kaysi became part of my military family back in 1998. This is a very special family, we share something that not everyone can understand unless you are blessed to be a member. Katie was like a little sister to me and was one of God's angel's here on earth. She shared with me the grief when I lost my angel Andy aka Dr Thunder! I loved Katie so much, she will be missed but not forgotten. My heart is broken, but I know that she will forever be watching over her beautiful family. Katie Lovelace was a wonderful friend and she taught me how to be a cheerleader. That smile was always on her face and growing up I wanted to be her. She was the coolest person I knew. She was a cheerleader, popular, kind, always willing to help and had a wonderful boyfriend, how could a young girl not want to be her. My heart breaks for her husband Jimmy, who found his soul mate in Jr High and has lost the love of his life, her 3 beautiful children who have lost a truly wonderful mother. Her mom who should not have to bury her baby. Dawn-Marie Gragg, Donald and Tammy who have lost their sister. While heaven gained an angel. the world lost a wonderful person. And I have lost my role model.
