David Lynn Reid

David Lynn Reid, 66, long time resident of Crestview, FL, passed away on February 7, 2016 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital while visiting his family in Newnan, GA. He grew up in Deer Park, TX. in the loving home of his parents, Zoleta and Paul Reid. David served his country in the Navy for 9 years. He retired from a 40+ year career in the medical field as a Radiology Technician in 2011. David was a selfless, caring man, who always took the time to help his friends and family. His proudest accomplishment in life was his family. He most enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren who called him Pappy. He is survived by his daughter, Devin Cawthon; son­in­law Derrick Cawthon; and grandchildren Mason and Mya. The viewing will be held at Whitehurst­Powell Funeral Home in Crestview, FL. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 1:00-­2:00pm. The service will immediately follow at 2 PM.
