Gillian "Jill" Joyce Adams

Gillian "Jill" Adams, of Crestview, FL, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Samantha Wheeler.  She was born in Letchworth, England on December 26, 1946 to the late Geoffrey and Joyce Sturman.  She was a wife and homemaker who loved to cook, crochet, cross stitch, and make quilts.  Two of the happiest days of her life was the adoption of her daughter, Shannon and the birth of her second daughter, Samantha.  She enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren, for they are "truly grand", as she'd always say.

     Jill is preceded in death by her parents, Geoffrey and Joyce Sturman; a brother, Clive Sturman; and her loving husband, George Adams.

       She is survived by two brothers, Jed (Celia) Sturman of Vienna, VA and Richard Sturman of England; two daughters, Shannon (Kevin) Snow of Crestview and Samantha (Chris) Wheeler of Jackson, MS; four grandchildren, Ryan Whitley, Trevor (Jennifer) Carnahan, Sarah Snow, and Lacey Wheeler; and one great-grandson, Hayze Carnahan; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

      A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 6PM at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home chapel in Crestview, FL with Pastor Jason Stokes officiating.
