Hazel 82, a longtime resident of Milton, Fl went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 25, 2016 at the home of her loving granddaughter Jessica James.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Will Bengtson of Fort Walton and Esther Hurst
of Holley; two loving husbands, Freddie E. (Gene) Middlebrooks of Pensacola and David Stowers of Milton, Florida; two older brothers, Bill Bengtson of Robertsdale, Alabama and Cleve Bengtson of Pensacola, Florida; and a sister Inez White Of Pensacola; daughter, Sharon Scapecchi; son, Freddie E Middlebrooks Jr; grandson, D.L Middlebrooks; two great grandsons, Dillion Lewis and Hunter Douglas.
Hazel was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend
who will truly be missed by all! Hazel spent 17 years of her life taking care of the elderly
at The Haven Of My Lady Of Peace in Pensacola. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown where her and her husband David Stowers attended regularly.
She is survived by a sister, Lois Tomlinson; daughters, Barbara Byerley (Marshall),
Vicki Middlebrooks; son, Scott A Middlebrooks (Lesa);10 Grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way!
There's too little time and too much to say about our wonderful Mom but
everyone who knew her knows already!
A very special thank you to Jessica who cared for her in her final days. We’ll be forever grateful.
A time of visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 10:30-11:30am at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the service starting at 11:30. Burial will follow at Memory Park Cemetery in Milton, Florida.
