Dear Goodson family, I just heard of Jake's passing and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss - for our loss. While our relationship was that of colleagues, I worked with him for many years through the JTCG/ME, Jake was always a kind, compassionate and extremely approachable individual. The world is truly a lesser place without Jake.

To the beautiful Goodson family: I just learned of Jake's passing. I'm posting a thousand hugs to you and wish I lived close enough to come visit. Jake and Della were the most amazing youth pastors and greatly shaped my teenage years. Thank you all for the love you showed us crazy kids! Jake will always stand as a role model of what an involved and dedicated father and community member should look like. Sending all our love from the St. Louis area- Jenny and family
