Jerry Windsor

Homer Jerry Windsor, aged 85, of Crestview, passed away peacefully at
home on Monday, November 23, 2015. Mr. Windsor was born and raised in
Geneva County, AL. He graduated from Troy State University, where he
met his wife, Emily Helen Lisenby. They were married on March 30, 1957
 and enjoyed 58 years together on this earth. Mr. Windsor was a
long-time member of First Baptist Church of Crestview, FL. Mr. Windsor
served as a reservist in the Marine Corps, Army Special Forces, and
Air Force and was a schoolteacher for 34 years. Mr. Windsor was
preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Essie Windsor. He is
survived by his wife, Emily Helen Windsor, their children Ken Windsor
and wife Jackie, and Greg Windsor; grandchildren Jeremy Windsor and
wife Heather, Shana Permenter and husband Robert, Jana Ashing and
husband Brad; great-grandchildren Ava and Breanna Windsor, Keira
Permenter, and Eve Ashing. The celebration of Mr. Windsor’s life will
be on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home in
Crestview. The viewing is at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service is at
11:00 a.m.
