Although our interactions were limited to your parents' visits to Richmond, what was evident is how he beamed talking about his kids and grandkids. It was a true source of love and pride for him. I know his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the pieces of him you will now take with you and incorporate in your daily lives. He was a special person as his legacy shows. May you forever feel embraced by his love.

Grieving for the Smith family. Can't believe how many years have gone by. Will forever cherish my parents friendship with Merv and Eloise and the childhood memories with Timmy, Stevie, and Tina. Sorry we cannot be there in person but please know we are their in spirit. RIP big Merv!

We were truly sorry to hear about the passing of Merv. It was a pleasure to have worked with Merv for many years in the latent fingerprint section of the FBI. Merv was truly a great leader in his field of expertise and was always willing to participate and give advice to all those in the law enforcement community who needed it. We will miss him and his friendship.

Elouise and family I am so very sorry to hear about Smitty. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. It is 10 years in June that I lost Ronnie. I have now moves to Gainesville Va to be closer to Christy and family. She now has two children.
