Prudie Francis Elliott

Prudie Francis Elliott March 17 1923------July 21 2016 Prudie (Loving mother and friend) departed this world in the early morning of the 21 after 93 birthdays. She was a true believer and trusted God for guidance and healing throughout her life. For many years she was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Bonifay Florida. She was born in Clanton Alabama, married Donald Elliott in Bonifay Florida in 1942, and moved to Niceville in 1952 where they raised their two boys, Earl and Eugene. She has resided in Crestview for the past 30 plus years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jackson Sr. and Ella (Dutton) Cleckler, brothers, Horace, Cecil, Jackson Jr. and one sister Edna Brown, her longtime companion, Wendell Cook, and one grandson Donald Steven Elliott. Prudie is survived by two sons, Earl (Nancy) Elliott and Eugene Elliott; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Elliott, Jason and Jerry Webb, Megan and Cristin Byrne; and several great grandchildren. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Prudie was loved by many and will truly be missed. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 1 PM. Burial will be in Liveoak Park Cemetery, Crestview.
