So very sorry to learn that Coach has passed on home. He helped me a lot over the years with great advice. I have thought of him fondly. I lost touch when my husband and I moved to Lake City. I pray for God's blessings for his wife, family and four legged buddy.

Gene was a wonderful person. When y'all owned the health club in Crestview he would come and lead our aerobics class after teaching and coaching all day. We had so much fun. You don't meet many people like Gene. It was an honor to know him.

Sorry to hear about Gene's death. He was a great guy who always made other people smile. I went to elementary school with him in Headland and then he came to Sprayberry when I was the AD and head basketball coach. I asked him to coach our ninth grade team and he did an admirable job for us. Sorry to hear of his death again and as I said before he was a great guy and will be missed.

Growing up as a child Gene was a favorite cousin. Parish's have traditionally had careers as teachers and I'm certain Gene enjoyed his life. Our love and thoughts are with his family.

Dear Shelia, We are deeply sorry for your and your family's loss. Gene was a great person who loved his wife and family very much as well as his friends. It was always uplifting to talk with Gene and a pleasure not only for both of us to work with him but a great treasure to know him. He was our friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

"Coach" was an awesome man full of life and happiness. Of the two years he coached me in Golf, not once did I see him without a smile (except for when he would get mad at stupid drivers on the road on the way to matches). Great teacher and coach, and an even better man! You are missed greatly.
