Oh my, I just learned about Shelia's death. I've just recently, in the last 3 years or so, met Shelia. I always enjoyed talking with her on our visits to see our sons. She was always so sweet, kind to everyone.
I cannot imagine how Chase is handling this. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to your family.

It is a true blessing to read the comments left on this page and see the many lives that my Mama touched. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed. I couldn’t have asked for a better Mama or Grandma for my children, the love that flowed from her heart was pure and never-ending. The pain is real and the tears are many but thank God we have the comfort of knowing that she is in Heaven.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for our family as we go through this hard time in our lives!

Larry, We worked at Duke together many years and went thru lots of trials together. I always enjoyed talking to and with you about our Lord. I pray Peace upon you and family at this time because of your loss. We know this, your wife is with the Lord and because of that one day you will be reunited and what a Glorious Day that will be. I have found comfort in this knowledge many times because of knowing where the ones I lost were. From Numbers 6:24-26, The Lord bless thee and keep thee. The Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee Peace. To Mrs. Booker, Larry and children, my heart is sad to hear this news. However, I rejoice knowing Sheila is with our Father in Heaven. I have known Sheila for 45 years. We spend countless hours riding the bus to and from school. The older children were instrumental in caring for the younger children. Sheila would help me with homework and help me fix my hair. I knew she loved me as well as the other children she nurtured. Sheila is a beautiful lady with a loving and caring heart. I will forever cherish our recent conversations as we prayed for our children. We talked about the day when there will be no more tears and no more pain. When my Daddy passed away a couple years ago, I was happy to see Sheila and Mrs. Booker at Beaver Creek Baptist Church. She hugged me tight and told me that she was praying for me. I knew she meant it, too. She told me that to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord. She always shared words of knowledge from the Bible. When your heart is heavy, remember these words that Sheila expressed to comfort me. I hope and pray you find comfort in these words as well. Take time enjoying your family memories, and remember that Sheila loved you with all her heart and expressed her love for you to others. She left you a legacy of love which will remain forever in your heart. I am praying for you to feel peace as you go through this time of loss. Love and prayers, Dana

I am soooooooooooo sorry to hear about Sheila I moved away 15 years ago and when I saw here lastshe was always so sweet to me as she was in School.
